(A/N- SORRY FOR THIS BEING SO LATE!!!! DX DX GOMEEENNNNN!!!! DX DX And also...I'm sorry for the OOC-ness... :( :( At least I did make Korn childish! XD)

          Hikyo was not happy. He was not happy at all. Why? It was all because of that stupid brainless God of Darkness, Korn. Korn was being a jerk. Just because Hikyo had taken his revenge by pulling out just a few feathers from Korn’s wings, he had kept him out of their only shelter in a forest that was located in the middle of nowhere. It was Korn who had started all these first too!!

          It all began when Korn decided to ‘test’ out this ‘new’ spell he had learned on him, causing Hikyo to lose all his magic within a blink of an eye. Hikyo demanded that Korn returns his magic at once, but according to the dimwit, he had absolutely no idea how to do so. And because that idiot was so sensitive from the feather-plucking thing, he set up a weak barrier preventing Hikyo from entering the small cave and also taunting at Hikyo’s current weak state meanwhile. To prevent Hikyo from shouting endlessly at him and making Korn’s eardrums from bursting, he casted a silencing spell on it.

“When I get my hands on him, I’ll pull out all of his feathers…One by one…I’ll tie him up and slowly take my time in plucking them out…” Hikyo gritted as he finally sat down after futile attempts in searching for another shelter.

          The numerous places he went either were too small for a person to enter or they were already occupied by vicious animals. He turned to look at Korn only to see him sticking his tongue out at Hikyo and making stupid monkey faces.

“I’LL DEFINITELY KILL YOU!!!” he shouted as he pounded his fists at the barrier that would not give entry to him.

          Korn made a mocking gesture and turned his back at him.

“Just you wait, you bastard…” Hikyo muttered as he too turn his back to him.

          It was near midnight when he felt a moist feeling on his cheeks…Not only his cheeks were damp…His whole body was wet. He opened his light brown eyes only to be bombarded with more droplets of water. It was raining. The rain became heavier every passing moment. Hikyo covered his eyes with his hands and turned his attention to Korn who was sleeping soundly. The barrier was still up. Hikyo could not enter. He banged his fists repeatedly on the barrier but it was useless. Korn was sleeping like a fat pig and there was no way he could wake him up. He had to sleep under the rain tonight…There was no other option…

“Ahhhhh~~” the black-haired man stretched as soon as the first ray of sunlight shone. “Yesterday’s night was wonderful~ I slept so soundly~”

          Korn sat upright as he rubbed his eyes. He hadn’t slept like that for ages. Maybe he should kick Hikyo out often.

“Speaking of Hikyo…” he smirked as he turned around to face the exit of the cave. “Maybe I should go look at hi-“

          His sentence was left hanging. Korn stared at the limp figure right outside of his barrier. It was not moving…It laid there; half of its face facing towards the brown earthy soil. It had long light brown hair…and that face… they looked… … familiar… … … …Hikyo!!

          Korn hurried towards him; the barrier dematerialized into thin air. He carried the helpless body into the cave and laid him down. He pressed his palm on Hikyo’s forehead. It was burning, signifying that the poor boy had caught fever. All signs of tease and smirk were gone from his face, only to be replaced with worry and guilt. If he hadn’t been so immature and childish, Hikyo wouldn’t have been in this state. He knew well that Hikyo’s magic were gone, he knew Hikyo wouldn’t be able to get into the cave unless he begged and pleaded Korn. He knew them all very well. But he had so foolishly followed the rash decision made by his heart and left Hikyo outside with no shelter from the heavy rain yesterday. [<<< Assumption made by Korn.]

“Please be alright…” Korn whispered as he wrapped the boy with thick blankets he had conjured up and placed the wet cloth on the burning forehead. “Please…”

          That night, Korn stayed next to the boy. His fever still had not receded a bit. Korn bit his lower lip as he changed the cloth on the Hikyo’s forehead with a fresh new one. He rested forehead on Hikyo’s chest. His heart was still beating , but it was soft and weak. Korn bit his lower lip harder.

“Stupid Korn…” he heard a weak voice from the still unconscious boy. “He…never use…brains…So…stupid…”

          Korn jerked himself up when he heard Hikyo talk, but Hikyo’s eyes were still closed.

“Just…feathers…What’s wrong…if he’d…stop…being such…a brat…Brainless git…” Hikyo continued to mutter in his sleep. “He started…it…Useless…lazy…pig…”

          Korn lowered his head, his eyes looking straight at the cavern floor. Hikyo was right. If he had at lease thought about it more maturely, he wouldn’t have gotten Hikyo into this problem.

“But…Korn’s not…really bad…He’s just…stupid…” more words came out from Hikyo’s mouth. “Nice…Kind…Unlike…Death Gods…Not…cruel or…evil…His brain’s…just malfunctions…most…times…”

          Korn smiled, his eyes averting their gaze to the sleeping boy who continued to mumble on about his good points…except that he kept on mentioning that Korn was a stupid braggart who wouldn’t put his brains to good use.

“Thank you, Hikyo,” he said softly and kissed Hikyo on the forehead.

          Next morning came not long after. Korn had fallen asleep yesterday after staying up the whole night just to make sure Hikyo was alright. True enough, his fever slowly ebbed away. When he fell asleep due to fatigue, there were still traces of fever in Hikyo. He hoped he had been fine.

          He got up lazily; his back still ached from the sitting position he was in the other night, and rubbed his eyes as he turned his attention to Hikyo. The only problem was that what lay beside him was just the blanket he had used to prevent Hikyo’s fever from getting worse. The man was no longer there. Korn got up immediately, his eyes frantically searching for any sightings of Hikyo. But he was nowhere to be seen, not even a strand of hair was in view.

“Darn it…I was so close…” a familiar voices spoke behind him. “So close in letting you suffer…”

          Korn turned his head sharply, nearly breaking his neck. There standing right of him was Hikyo, who had a full bucket of cold water in his hands. Korn smiled when he saw the sparkle in Hikyo’s beige eyes. They told him that he had recovered fully. His illness was completely gone.

“What are you smiling at, you pathetic being that knows no sympathy for the hapless ones??” Hikyo demanded as he put the bucket down. “I was out there under that heavy rain and you were in here, sleeping like some dead log. It rained for five long hours!! The next time we go some place in the midst of nowhere, I’m leaving you out there and make you undergo the same thing I went through!!”

          Korn kept his silence as he moved towards Hikyo. He then embraced Hikyo with all his might, saying these words:

“I’m glad you’re alright….Will you forgive me?”
